When I was little, I started learning Japanese calligraphy at a shodo school taken by my elder sister.
I majored in shodo at the university and was fascinated by the art of kana-shodo. Since then, I have been writing it for more than 50 years.
In recent years, I began to think about not only creating my kana-shodo works but wishing more people in the world to know and learn the wonderful art of kana-shodo.
Where there are opportunities, I will visit such countries as Australia, America, Vietnam, and Poland to demonstrate and talk with locals.
The kana-shodo works presented here on this website are digital images that are taken from the photos and thus, some of them may be difficult to see. But I hope that you will become more interested in learning about kana-shodo.
